If you own a Porsche and you see a blinking red light on your key fob or a message on the instrument cluster about the “key battery,” don’t panic. These things can mean different things, but most commonly, the battery in your key fob is running low. You can change the battery yourself or bring it to our shop and we’ll replace it for free.
If changing the battery doesn’t fix the problem, there could be something wrong with the key fob itself. The car may not recognize it. If the fob blinks but the car won’t start, it’s possible that a security feature has been activated. This will prevent unauthorized use of the car.
